Oblivion

Above: Oblivion
Oblivion is a Keyblade obtainable in the Kingdom Hearts games. It is notably used by Roxas alongside Oathkeeper, representing Riku and Kairi respectivly.

Roxas

Roxas is a 15-year-old boy and the Nobody of Sora. He can also weild a Keyblade- and sometimes uses two at a time, Oathkeeper and Oblivion.

Roxas first appears in Kingdom Hearts II, where he is playable as a boy who lives in Twilight Town. During summer vacation, Roxas hangs out with his friends Hayner, Pence, and Ollette. When he is believed to be a picture theif, Roxas discovers that the actual theif was a Dusk Nobody, and he accidentally summons his Keyblade. [SPOILERS] Later, Roxas meets Axel- who claims they know each other. While researching for a school project, strange things go on in Twilight Town, confusing Roxas even more. It is revealed that the Twilight Town Roxas lived in was actually created by DiZ/Ansem the Wise, and his memories were erased- he was actually a member of Organization XIII. The Roxas gameplay ends with Roxas looking at the sleeping Sora and saying, "You're lucky... looks like my summer vacation is... over." At the end of the game, Sora battles Roxas inside his mind, and it is revealed that Sora and Roxas merge together. Roxas temporary becomes seperate again to meet Namine like they had promised- Namine had also emerged from Kairi.
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, you learn the story of Roxas's time in Organization XIII. With no memory of his past, Roxas befriends Axel and Xion, a girl who joined shortly after himself. During this time he learns more about the mysterious Xion and even about himself.
Roxas also looks exactly like Ventus in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. [SPOILERS] It turns out that Ventus is actually part of Sora, so this explains partly why he and Roxas are the same in appearance.

Kairi

Kairi in Kingdom Hearts II

Kairi is a 14-year-old girl in Kingdom Hearts and reaches 15 by Kingdom Hearts II. She liked to run around Destiny Islands with her friends Sora and Riku, until the events in Kingdom Hearts where they became seperated. It is discovered that Kairi is one of the Princesses of Heart, seven maidens including Snow White, Bell, and Sleeping Beauty/Aurora. Because of her pure heart she can weild a Keyblade.
In Kingdom Hearts II, Kairi waits for her friends to return at the Destiny Islands. Eventually she is kidnapped by Axel, because Axel wants to lure Sora to find him- he wants Sora to be turned into a Heartless because he hopes that his friend Roxas, Sora's Nobody, would return into existence if this happens. When freed, Kairi is able to use her own Keyblade, given to her by Riku. According to Donald, she did quite well in battle. In this game it is shown that Namine is actually Kairi's Nobody, through Sora, as when Sora became a Heartless Kairi's heart had been inside of him, creating both Roxas and Namine.
In Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep it is revealed that Aqua met both Kairi and Sora and accidently bestowed the power to be a Keyblade weilder on both of them. It is unknown if Kairi will soon discover that she can summon a Keyblade.
It is also quite obvious that Kairi and Sora have romantic feelings for each other.

Kingdom Hearts II

Kingdom Hearts II is the second main game of the Kingdom Hearts series. It begins with the story of Roxas, a boy who lives in Twilight Town, and then Sora awakens from his slumber that began in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and you play as him. In this story Sora and friends meet Organization XIII and learn of the Nobodies while looking for Riku and the King.
This game is for PlayStation 2.

Shadow

Above: A Shadow Heartless
The Shadow is the first Heartless you will ever come across in the game series. It isn't the weakest Heartless, though it is relativly easy to defeat. Its HP is 60 after you rescue Kairi in the first game, but before it is 10-54.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (pronounced Three-Five-Eight over Two Days) tells the story of Roxas, Sora's Nobody, and his time in Organization XII with his friends Axel and a mysterious girl named Xion. The game consists of Roxas doing various missions for the Organization.

This game is for Nintendo DS and DSi.

Sora

Above: Sora in Kingdom Hearts

Sora is a 14-year-old boy in Kingdom Hearts and 15 by Kingdom Hearts II. He one of the Keyblade's chosen ones and used to live on the Destiny Islands with his friends Riku and Kairi, as well as several Final Fantasy Characters. When he is swept into Traverse Town, Sora sets off to search for Riku and Kairi and meets Donald and Goofy, who are looking for their lost king and 'the boy with the key.' Along the way he travels to many Disney worlds and battles the Heartless, darkness left over from a lost heart.
In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Sora, Donald, and Goofy have found Kairi, who is now safe at Destiny Islands, and are searching for Riku and King Mickey, who were locked inside Kingdom Hearts at the end of the last game. They come upon Castle Oblivion, where Sora meets Organization XIII and Namine, a girl with power over Sora's memories. He loses his memories here due to a plot by the Organization, and, at the end of the game, goes to sleep so that Namine can fix them back.
In Kingdom Hearts II, Sora awakens from this sleep with no memory of what went on in Castle Oblivion, but while searching for Riku discovers more about the Organization and a new creature called Nobodies.
